Every network below runs the same code as every other one. What differs between them is a single JSON file: the categories, the fields a listing has, what a vote is worth, how fast a score falls and how often a person may vote. None of it is a fork, and none of it is a branch.

A slower game gets a longer half-life, because a week of quiet means less there. A niche where votes are easy to farm gets a longer cooldown and a lower vote weight. Setting these per niche is the difference between a ranking that fits the community and one the community works around.

Listing fields

One declaration, five jobs

A field like rate_tier or chronicle is declared once in the instance file. That single declaration produces the form field on the submit page, the server-side validation, the row on the listing page, the filter facet on the category page, and the database index behind it. Adding a field never needs a migration, because values live in a JSON column.

Private access

topsites.dev is not open for signups, and it is not sold or hosted for other operators. The engine runs a small number of invited communities while the ranking is proven on real traffic. This page exists to explain what it is and how the ranking works, nothing here asks you to sign up.
